        Welcome to the Great Falls Optimist Club web site.

    There are many worthy causes to support while meeting your

neighbors and enjoying the camaraderie of good friends.  There are

lots of ways to have a good time while doing good. One organization

to consider supporting right here in your backyard is the Great Falls

 Optimist Club.

     A small club with big ambitions, the Great Falls Optimist Club is

dedicated to meeting the needs of young people in our community;

to supporting activities that contribute to a better future for our

children; to promoting an active interest in good government;

to encouraging community service among young people; and

developing optimism as a philosophy of life.

    I am proud to note that this is the 28th year of service to our community, and we expect to be around for many more years of service.  Now, I am happy to say, we are also officially a 501(c)3 nonprofit, which means that donations are tax deductible, as are a significant portion of annual dues.  We have always been a nonprofit, but until now we had a different IRS classification which meant that donations were not tax deductible.  This change, which is taking place at the national level, should make it easier and even more appealing to companies and individuals interested in supporting our important work.

     Many people who look forward to bringing their children to the Spring Festival every year have no idea who puts it on, who does all the work behind the scenes, or where the money goes that we raise through this event.  We hope that by learning more about our mission and our other activities, you discover a second reason to participate – helping children in our community.  We also hope that by learning more about the Great Falls Optimist Club, you also join our dedicated organization and support our work through donations and membership. A small group of individuals has accomplished a great deal these many years, and we look forward to welcoming more members of our growing community into our fold.

    If you are interested in learning more about our activities, please wander through our web site and feel free to contact us for more information. Check out the list of our accomplishments and activities. See if something sparks your interest; motivates you to get involved. You may already be familiar with some of our activities, just not aware that it is the Great Falls Optimist Club that makes it all happen.

     I hope you will join us.
