Great Falls Optimist Club Celebrates its 25th Anniversary With an Old-Fashioned Barn Dance The Great Falls Optimist Club celebrated its 25th Anniversary on Saturday, October 1 with an old-fashioned barn dance, complete with a live band and great barbecued ribs and chicken.
“We had a spectacular time,” said Club President T.R. Cook. “It’s not every day you get to have a great party and dance in an old barn like this. Linda has fixed it up with lights, a stage, and country-style decorations that created the perfect ambiance. Even the weather cooperated,” he noted. “We’ve had loads of positive feedback from people,” most of whom came dressed for the occasion in jeans, cowboy boots and hats, he said. “Our anniversary gave us a great excuse to throw a unique event. Maybe we won’t wait until our 30th to do it again.”
